Report about what scaling do.
This information is already there but it is scattered throughout the forums and guides. Here I concentrate the result of a quick experiment.
Scaling Report
Scaling reduces the cooling capacity of a modular engine, reaching 100% will make your engine practically lost its cooling ability.
Using sea water will cause your engine to get clogged with salt.

Test bench
I drained the engine’s fresh water coolant and replaced with sea water with a valve and pump.
This was the esier way to do in my ship (and test for the manual valve and manual pump).
I keep the temp between 110-114 C° during the test.

Result
Scaling 50%: Loss in cooling capacity is evident.
scaling 100%: Can not cool any more.
Using the torch to fix the engine do not reduce the scaling.
It is possible to reduce the scaling percentage? Maybe if adding fresh water again?
Extra (cooling)
Adding a little more fresh water to the cooling system will make it more efficient but if you reach the max capacity will reduce it. Keeping it at ~95% works fine.
This may be one of the reasons for losing efficiency when placing a tank in the middle of the circuit. The other is the additional resistance of the tank.
