The phone app gather many additional pictures in a gallery:

3D renderings are revealed by spotting hidden magazines and completing the Pack Quests in free roam locations, by entering Vault codes, by passing the minigames and the class tests. The latter two are substituted by the Vault unlock for players who declined the minigames.
2D art is for sale during the free roam events – from Jacob in episode 6 once his room is restored, then from your phone – and get delivered later on.

The location and position of each magazine are noted as is the instance when several events occur in the same area and episode. Rewards are a persistent feature, which means it’s worth exploring the various paths to get them all.
